We believe that kids are the future of the Church - and are a HUGE part of the Church today! We've made it our mission to do whatever it takes to reach, teach, and equip our kids to be all that God has called them to be! Our nursery, preschool, and elementary-aged kids have state-of-the-art facilities and a phenomenal team of volunteer and paid staff to help make sure your kids are safe, having fun, and learning to be more like Jesus!
The Grove
Early Childhood Ministry
Nursery/Preschool (Birth to 5 Years Old)
All your children, ages birth through preschool may be checked in all in one place. Follow the signs to child check-in! Early childhood care is provided during every service by warm, caring attendants. All of our team members have had background checks and are trained to give your child the best care! We have an excellent nursery facility for infants (Birth to 1 year old) staffed by qualified and loving attendants. Toddlers (1 to 2 years old) will enjoy a fun play time, worship, Bible craft and snack. Your preschool child (3 to 4 years old) will love our play area, worship time, and Bible lesson that corresponds with the message in the Main Services and snack in our fun room just for them!

The safety of each individual child is of utmost importance at First NEA!
Every worker has been background checked and there is a uniformed officer on duty during each service.

Our General Policies
The Grove opens 20 minutes prior to each service/event.
Children are to be brought to the check-in counter by a parent/guardian and will only be released to the parent/guardian with a Parent Pick-Up Sticker.
Parents/Guardians should come for their children immediately following the service or event they have attended.
Please see that items belonging to your child are properly and clearly labeled. This should include: diaper bag, diapers, plastic bottles/cups, pacifiers, drinking cups, and blankets.
Babies will be fed pre-measured formula, milk, or juice as provided only by the parent/guardian. Toddlers will be provided with a snack and water. Time and circumstances do not allow for any other type of feeding (including spoon-feeding infants).

We try everything in our abilities to calm an upset child for up to 15 minutes. After that, we will call the parent/guardian. That time frame can be catered for each family until the child feels comfortable staying in the nursery.
SLAM
Elementary-Aged Kids Ministry
Elementary (K – 6th Grade)
SLAM is for elementary aged kids (Kindergarten through 6th Grade). We have tons of fun and exciting activities for kids to be involved in! All of our SLAM services and activities are in our state-of-the-art kids ministry area located across the Main Lobby.
Our kids’ services are designed for kids in Kindergarten through 6th Grade. Your kids will enjoy a power-packed hour filled with hilarious games, fantastic music, crazy characters, and powerful teaching from the Bible! Each week our kids learn the exact same thing as the adults, but on an elementary-aged level, so that families can learn and grow together each week!
All of our campuses are learning the same lessons each week, so if your child has to miss SLAM, they can keep up with the series by watching SLAM at our main campus, First NLR, live or on demand at slamkids.tv!
